Thursdays
• TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) weekly meetings on Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. at Peace UCC Glenda Avenue in Jerseyville. Call Carol at 618-535-7981 for more information.
Saturday, Oct. 29
• Trick-or-Treat event at QEM Station 1, 14905 Elsah Rd. Grafton, IL. from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be funnel cakes, popcorn, hot chocolate, and candy.
Saturday Nov. 5
• Fishing and Night hike program at Pere Marquette. Starting at 5 p.m. at the Pere Marquette Visitor Center will be hosting an educational program on fish and fishing. This event is directed by an urban fishing coordinator. Children can fish at the bluegill pond afterwards. There will be a program on owls at 7:30 p.m. followed by a guided night hike for a distance of two miles to listen for owls. A hotdog and marshmallow roast will take place after the hike. Refreshments will be provided.
• First Baptist Church will be holding their J’ville Market Place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be handmade craft items, Country Store with a selection of home baked goods, Rada Cutlery, a variety of inspirational greeting cards, and a large selection of jewelry.
• Food, fun and fellowship are on the menu for a fall bonfire and cookout from 5 to 8 p.m. at Grafton Full Gospel Church. The menu will include chili, hot dogs and snacks along with an evening of fellowship and music. The church is at 15065 Elm St. off Highway 3, approximately 4 miles either direction of Highway 109 and the Grafton intersection.
• Craft, Yard, Flea Market from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the American Legion, 420 Kelly Lane. Louisiana
Vendors will stay the full time. Admission into the event is free.
Monday, Nov. 7
• Jersey County HCE will be having a lesson on Hawaii with a Luau. IAHCE District Director will install the County Offices during the meeting. The public is welcome. Call Sandy at 618-466-3199 for more information. The meeting will be at 10 a.m. at the Jerseyville Library.
