The annual Nightmare on State Street, Halloween themed, Open Late event was held last Tuesday evening, Oct. 25, where ghouls and goblins had the opportunity to dress up while they shop in Jerseyville.
The JCBA shopping event took place at DJ’s Pub and Grill from 4 to 8 p.m. with numerous vendors, costume contest, pumpkin decorating contest, tarot card readings, and more. All of that, alongside all of the usual shopping Jerseyville has to offer, but shops were open later.
Winners of the costume contest were all witches and were: Rachel Roentz, first place; Naretta Smay, second place; and Brooklyn Gardner, third place.
Edward Jones-Steve Medford was the winner of the Pumpkin Decorating Contest with their Monopoly man pumpkin. Coming in second place was Julie’s Graphics with their hippo pumpkin and third place was claimed by CNB Bank & Trust with their purple bat pumpkin.
