Zack Evans recently became the eighth West Central boys basketball player to go over 1,000 points for a career.
Evans, who is a junior, finished the Waverly Holiday Tournament with 1,001 points. He scored 30 points against Triopia in the third-place game. Evans made two free throws in overtime to go the 1,000 point mark
Evans scored 105 points in the shortened 2021 season and scored 561 points in 2021-22. He currently has 335 points this season.
Gabe Cox scored 1,803 for West Central, and Cole Howard scored 1,482. Both played from 2017-20.
Quinn Jefferson scored 1,463 from 2003-07, and Colin Slagle scored 1,237 from 2012-16. Brady Slagle scored 1,193 from 2005-09, and Harry Lobb scored 1,157 from 2001-05.
West Central started its co-op in 2004-05.
