Jersey’s Walter Kosowski signed a letter of commitment to continue his academic and athletic career with Illinois College football.
Kosowski said Panthers football has always been a part of his life after playing with the Junior Panthers before joining the Jersey Panthers football program.
“I met all my friends through Jersey Panthers football, all the good coaches. Everybody supports you. You got the whole town behind you. It’s one of the best feelings,” Kosowski said.
Kosowski said he looks forward to joining the Illinois College football program and developing his skills on the field while studying finance.
“Illinois College has a very good program, they have very nice facilities and their program is very well put together,” he said. “I think I’m going to learn a lot, meet a lot of new people, learn how to use my defensive lineman skills, but then multiply it times three.”
One memory as a Panther that Kosowski said will always stick with him is from a snowy early morning practice.
“It was a late in the season practice and it was snowing really hard, and it was always muddy. We had an early morning practice at 6 a.m., and to wake up we all ran out there and slid on our stomachs in the mud,” he said.
After signing Kosowski said he wanted to thank his parents, aunt, grandmother and all of his coaches for the impact they’ve had on him during his time as a Jersey Panther.
