Brylee Lawson and Bryleigh Fox combined to score 39 points as West Central beat South Fulton 55-37 Feb. 6 at Bluffs
It was the last home game for seniors Elise Brown, Gabby Sievers and Jayda Rogers.
Lawson scored off an assist from Fox to give West Central a 9-7. Fox had a steal and made one of two free throws to extend the lead to 10-7.
South Fulton got within 10-9 before West Central scored the next seven points.
Fox scored, and Lawson scored off an assist from Trystan White. White followed with a three-point basket, and the Cougars led 17-9. They led 17-11 after one quarter.
Fox started the second quarter with a three-point basket, and Lawson scored as West Central increased it lead to 22-11. Gabby Sievers made a three-point basket, and Lawson scored to give the Cougars a 27-13 lead with 5 minutes remaining in the quarter. They led 33-19 at halftime.
South Fulton got within 40-31 late in the third quarter. Lawson scored, and West Central led 42-31 after three quarters.
Braylee had a steal and scored, and Lawson scored twice as West Central increased the lead to 48-31 with 5:46 remaining in the game.
Lawson scored 21 points to lead the winners (19-10), and Fox scored 18
Sievers, White and Elise Brown each scored three points. Littig and Adrienne Kaufmann each scored two points. Sofie Grubb scored one point.
