The Grafton City Council held their monthly meeting last Tuesday, Feb. 22.
During the meeting, Mayor Mike Morrow presented Dave Sanford a Certificate of Appreciation for his work as Grafton City Photographer. Sanford created a real time photo album about Grafton, photographing its many scenes, people, and places.
“Dave captures the heart and soul of Grafton in his photos,” said Morrow. “Chances are, if it’s a photograph of today’s life in Grafton, Dave took it.”
At the Grafton Visitor’s Center, Sanford created a comparative photographic exhibit of “Then and Now” in Grafton. This exhibit takes visitors on a trip to the past– exploring the town’s look and feel during its earliest years. It guides visitors through the many changes throughout Grafton’s history, and ends at the present year.
Sandford and his wife, Judy, have been lifelong residents of Grafton. Sandford works as a city volunteer when he’s not taking photographs. Sandford takes great pride in being an active member of the community.
