The Unified Child Advocacy Network (UCAN) is hosting an Open House on Friday, April 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. at their new location at 101 N. State St. in Jerseyville.
The event will include a meet and greet with staff, a tour of their office and interview room, and information about how people can help out and get involved with UCAN.
Food, drinks, and entertainment will be provided.
According to UCAN, their mission is to serve, protect, and advocate for children affected by sexual abuse and serious physical abuse and to educate our communities. They are a nonprofit organization representing Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin and Montgomery Counties. They help children tell their stories in a child friendly environment and from there, they help them see a medical doctor and counseling. Additionally, they help families receive or find services that will help them proceed further. They have been assisting the community since 2017.
