The Jerseyville City Council held a short meeting on Tuesday, May 30, beginning with the customary roll call, prayer, and pledge of allegiance.
Among the first actions taken in the meeting was the approval of the previous meeting minutes from Tuesday, May 16, and the approval of the bills as presented for the current meeting.
The first item discussed and approved was the acceptance of Rosewood Drive, from West County Road to Illinois Highway 109, as a city roadway and its related ownership maintenance responsibilities.
Also noted at the meeting was the Susnig Center’s renovations. The council believes the renovations will be finished in the fall. They also mentioned the upcoming Rock the Block event, slated for June 30 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Jerseyville City Council meets every other Tuesday at 6 p.m. at City Hall. They are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, June 13.
