Year after year, Farmers State Bank reinforces its commitment to those who serve our nation and is proud to announce a donation to Rally Around the Troops, a local community effort that sends care packages to military men and women from the local area.
This summer, the group was able to send 30 care packages to troops stationed all over the world, all which Farmers State Bank paid for the full shipping cost.
Bob Garrett, volunteer with Rally Around the Troops, said, “We can’t thank the Bank enough for all they do for our organization.”
“Our military personnel bravely put their lives on the line every day for our safety and freedom,” said Nevin Grigsby, Farmers State Bank President. “On behalf of everyone at Farmers State Bank, thank you to our soldiers who sacrifice time with their loved ones so you and I can be with ours. We are proud to partner with Rally Around the Troops to do what we can to support those in our military, both state-side and overseas.”
Farmers State Bank was recently named a Best Place to Work in Illinois for the second year in a row, and a Top Five Community Bank in America. Farmers State Bank also holds a five-star rating, the highest ranking a bank can receive, by Bauer Financial, Inc. With assets in excess of $300 million, Farmers State Bank, headquartered in Pittsfield, IL, has been locally owned since 1889 and remains one of the strongest banks in the nation.
