Farmers State Bank is thrilled to announce that it has been honored with the esteemed title of ‘Extraordinary Bank of the Year’ by The Institute for Extraordinary Banking™. This national and prestigious award recognizes the bank’s unwavering dedication to excellence in banking and customer service, and its profound commitment to community enrichment initiatives.
Founded in 1889, Farmers State Bank has consistently demonstrated its dedication to serving the financial needs of its community and the surrounding areas. This recognition highlights the Bank’s exemplary performance in five key areas of banking: philanthropy, customer service, thought leadership, workplace culture, and financial literacy education.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this prestigious award from The Institute for Extraordinary Banking™,” said Nevin Grigsby, President and CEO of Farmers State Bank. “This recognition is a testament to our commitment to serve our community. We share this achievement with our dedicated team and our loyal customers who have placed their trust in us.”
The award was officially presented to Farmers State Bank during a special ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia on September 20th. All community banks in the country (over 4,500) are eligible to be nominated and evaluated in five distinct categories: philanthropy, customer service, thought leadership, workplace culture, and financial literacy education. This has been Farmers State Bank’s fourth year as a Top Three Finalist for this award.
Winning this award also means the Unstoppable Foundation, a non-profit humanitarian organization bringing sustainable education to children and communities in developing countries, will receive $25,000.00 in Farmers State Banks’ name to build a school in Africa, which is a direct representation of two of their values, philanthropy and financial literacy education. In addition, Farmers State Bank will also receive a custom-wrapped car, as well as a promotional marketing package to use within its communities.
Farmers State Bank looks forward to continuing its mission of providing outstanding banking services and supporting the growth and well-being of the community.
