The North Greene Jr./Sr. High Boosters work very hard to provide for the students in the district in many different areas and they would like for everyone to know where their donations are going.
So far, since the start of the season on Aug. 1, they have made the following donations:
• Funded for the electrical work for the play clocks to be installed on the North Greene football field – $4,860.
• High school boys basketball uniforms – $2,900.
• High school dance team uniforms – $800.
• Party favors for the Homecoming football game – $400.
According to booster members, they have started something new this year. They are having a 50/50 drawing at the Jr./Sr. home games.
“We are asking for a couple of students from each activity or class to sell the tickets at the gate,” Booster Member Amanda Brown said. “The proceeds from these raffles are being donated to school activities or classes.”
So far, funds have been donated to:
• North Greene Jr. High Student Council and Speech Club – $101.
• Nature Club – $108.
• Sophomore Class – $34.
• Senior Class – $592 total. $296 given to Liz Staats and $296 given to Mrs. Wahl.
In the case of the first two raffles, the winners of the raffles donated the proceeds back to the school, which allowed 100 percent of the donations to be given to the recipients.
The Junior Class was scheduled to do the raffle at the Oct. 7 home football game and the Freshman Class will do it at the Oct. 13 home game against Mendon-Unity.
