This Sunday, March 10, the Jersey County Arts Council and Godfrey’s New Horizons Band are collaborating to host a spring concert at the vineyards.
Hosted from 2-4 p.m. at the beautiful Grafton Winery Vineyards at 21028 Eckert Orchard Road, the concert will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the warming weather with an afternoon concert. The event is free to attend.
The New Horizons Band of Godfrey is the 50-member local chapter of the New Horizons International Band Association, an organization dedicated to providing music-making opportunities for adults. Last year, the Godfrey chapter celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a series of commemorative concerts across the region.
This mission of accessible music-making for all is what initially inspired the collaboration between New Horizons Band and the Jersey County Arts Council, which works to provide creative and cultural growth to the region.
The Jersey County Arts Council has a number of upcoming events providing fun and accessible art-making opportunities to the community:
Kids paint class, Monday, March 11 from 5-6 p.m.
Dot art class, Thursday, March 21 from 6-8 p.m.
Paint night, Monday, March 25 from 6-9 p.m.
Brush and Lunch, Thursday, March 28 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
