The Mustache March 4PD organization presented a donation check to the JCCU (Jersey County Churches United) from funds raised to support local communities. Mustache March 4PD promotes a more positive rapport between police departments and citizens while raising funds for items that their budgets are unable to purchase. They also raise funds that go back into the community such as those presented to the JCCU.
This contribution will aid Jersey County Churches United in continuing their mission of providing essential services and support to individuals and families in need. It will directly contribute to their various programs aimed at alleviating hardship and fostering hope within the community. The JCCU is a coalition consisting of several churches in Jersey County that work in conjunction with the sheriff’s department to provide home repair, yard work, household cleaning, and meals for the local community.
The JCCU also supports a household goods pantry out of the Got Faith Ministry building in Jerseyville. Clients are offered supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, laundry soap and more. The pantry is open on Thursdays from 11am to 1pm in conjunction with the Diane Stumpe Food pantry. The pantry has a resource room full of diverse books, literature, contact information, and digital contact details which have made an impact in supporting individuals and families facing economic crisis.
