The Jerseyville Public Library has some fun community events planned for the month of March. As always, events and programming at the Library are open to the public regardless of library card status.
For those of you who are new to computers, or are a little rusty, call the Library to register for the upcoming Computer Basics Workshop on Tuesday, March 12 at 10 a.m. Topics will include: how to start and shut down a computer, how to open and close a program, how to use a mouse or touchpad, etc. This will be a great beginner’s workshop for people who do not know much about computers but want to learn.
Children grades K-3rd are invited to Learn to Brush and Floss with Hannah on Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m. Call the Library to register for this informative program taught by former Library staff member and current Lewis & Clark Dental Student, Hannah Rose, as she teaches proper brushing and flossing for a healthier mouth and a healthier body. Goodie bags will be distributed while supplies last. Deadline to register is Monday, March 11.
Illinois Libraries Present: An Evening with Ruth E. Carter, two-time Academy Award-winning costume designer via a live Zoom event. Call the Library to register to watch from home.
Parents: Bring your little ones, ages 2-6, to Preschool Storytime on Tuesday, March 26 at 10 a.m., where Ms. Laurie will read stories, lead songs and teach a craft. This is a great time for your children to interact with others their age.
You will not want to miss the big event for this month, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, on Saturday, March 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. This event is for all ages, bring the whole family out to the Library to enjoy breakfast with the Bunny, take photos, participate in some fun games and crafts and have your face painted. Registration is required and must be completed by Monday, March 25 by calling the Library.
Please note that the Library will be closed on Sunday, March 31 in honor of the Easter holiday.
As always, everyone is welcome to attend events and activities at the Library regardless of library card status. A library card is only required to check out materials. There are also many community resources available to those without a card including photocopying and printing, faxing, scanning, notary, public use computers and more. Don’t forget to head out to Wock Lake to read the latest StoryWalk® book.
