Jersey Community Hospital (JCH) was recently recognized by The Chartis Center for Rural Health as one of the top 100 rural and community hospitals of 2024.
“This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care to our community, day in and day out. It’s a testament to the dedication of our staff and the trust of our patients. We are honored to be among the best for the third consecutive year and remain steadfast in our mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to all who walk through our doors.” Beth King, JCH CEO, said in a press release.
The annual Top 100 Chartis award recognizes rural and community hospitals for their performance based on results from the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance Index.
“During an era of profound uncertainty for rural healthcare, the Top 100 rural hospitals continue to provide a unique lens through which we can identify innovation and inspiration for how to deliver high quality care to increasingly vulnerable populations,” Michael Topchik, National Leader, The Chartis Center for Rural Health, stated in the release. “We’re delighted to be able to recognize all this year’s Top 100 but especially the more than 40 first-time recipients across both categories. It’s wonderful to see so many new facilities join the ranks of our Top 100 alumni.”
The Chartis Rural Hospital Performance Index has been used for 14 years to provide a comprehensive assessment of rural hospitals and their performance. The Chartis Index uses publicly available data to measure a variety of aspects that impact hospital operations and finance.
