Conner Turner recorded three first place finishes to lead the West Central boys’ track and field team at the Western Illinois Valley Track and Field meet April 30 at Carrollton.
Brown County won the team title with 142 points, and West Central finished second with 120 Pleasant Hill finished third with 118 points, and Routt finished fourth with 98. Greenfield-Northwestern finished fifth with 86, and North Greene finished sixth with 49 ½ points, and Virginia finished seventh with 17 ½. Carrollton finished eighth with 17.
Turner long jump with a distance of 20-4 and the triple jump at 38-6. He also won the 100 with a time of 11.0.
Blayne Sidwell won the 400 in 54.4.
West Central also won the 4×100 relay in 46.0 and the 4c400 relay in 3:55.4.
Sidwell, Liam Melanson, Gavin Thomas and Turner each ran in the 4×100. Carson Gregory, Sidwell, Zac Howard and Thomas each ran in the 4×400.
