Volunteers from Cross Point Church, Got Faith? and the Salvation Army were busy Monday, Aug. 5, helping to provide some free food to families. Volunteers were able to help provide 139 families with some canned goods as well as fresh fruit and meat during the giveaway. Volunteers will be out the first Monday of each month at Cross Point Church in Fieldon from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. September’s giveaway will be held on Friday, Sept. 6, due to Labor Day. Orders will be limited to one order per vehicle and will be served on a first come first served basis.
