The City of Grafton held their annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Red Hawk Park.
The city expressed their thanks for the Family Fun Day Committee in a press release for setting up another
successful salute to summer as the school year begins.
“A big thank you to Christine Petrea and Alderwoman Donna Smith along with the Family Fun Day Committee and all who provided Grafton families with a great day of memories for Summer 2024,” the release states. “Everyone heartily enjoyed free hot dogs, chips and water provided by Got Faith Church. Face painting and rock painting added to playground fun and the chance for children to explore a fire engine with QEM’s knowledgeable crew and get a firsthand look at one of Grafton’s police cars with retired Sergeant Peggy O’Neil.”
“Donna and her committee chair have again put on an excellent Fun Day for the families; everyone had a wonderful time,” Mayor Mike Morrow said.
The Grafton Police Department and City Council also reminded the community to drive carefully and stay alert in school zones.
“Please drive slowly in our school zones,” Officer Mike Angel of the Grafton Police said in the release.
