Rebecca Kitson’s winning submission for Rep. Davidsmeyer’s photo contest. Kitson is the third Jersey County resident to be selected as a winner. Winners from the first and second rounds of submissions were residents of Jerseyville and Grafton.
Rebecca Kitson of Jerseyville has been announced as one of the winners for the final round of State Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer’s 100th District photo contest.
Kitson was announced as one of the winners along with Lily Wilson of Winchester, as constituents were invited to submit their photos that capture the beauty and diversity of the district.
“It is not surprising to me that both of the winners have an agricultural subject matter because our top industry in the district and state is farming,” Rep. Davidsmeyer said. “Rebecca’s picture captures a single cow grazing through the light fog of a beautiful morning sunrise while Lily’s photo focuses in on the beginning of the lifecycle of ‘America’s Crop’–a soybean sprout.”
Winning photographs from each round of submissions will be framed and displayed in Springfield at Rep. Davidsmeyer’s Capitol office so he can showcase each constituent’s art and brag to visitors about the “wonderful beauty that exists around the 100th District.”
Rep. C. D. Davidsmeyer can be reached to discuss concerns and legislative ideas at his district office at 217-243-6221 or by email at [email protected]. Constituents can also sign up for legislative updates at his website CDDavidsmeyer.org.
