It is hard to believe we are on the last week of August. September is starting this coming Sunday. Lots of fun things will be happening for Barrow Baptist church in September. September 10 will be our monthly ladies luncheon at noon in the fellowship hall, September 15 we will be doing the church service at White Hall Nursing and Rehab at 2:00 pm. While we are at the nursing home, one of our members, Lois Hart, is a resident there and she will be 98 Sept. 19 so we are going to have a card shower for her while we are there. Also, in September, on the 28th we will be having an Adult Vacation Bible School at 2:00 p.m. This is open to the public. This should be fun to bring back old memories. If you are interested in coming there are 2 ways you can register. You can call 217-248-7503 or go to https://bit.ly/vacationBibleOLDschool. During the Bible school, we will be having a Bible drive. We are asking those attending to donate new or used bibles, or a monetary gift. Our offering during the Bible school will also go toward the purchase of new bibles. These Bibles will be donated to Love Packages in Butler, Il.
That’s all for this week. Stay cool during these really hot days and be sure to check on the elderly and your pets.
