Scott County residents among winners in Jacksonville Memorial Hospital 5K/10K Race

Matthew Nordyke, Amber Kleckler, Amarion Reed and Megan Clark were the first-place overall winners at the 30th Annual JMH 5K/10K presented by Gatorade on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Nordyke, from Springfield, won first place in the men’s 5K with a time of 20 minutes, 21 seconds. Kleckler, a Rochester resident, took first place in the women’s 5K in a time of 21 minutes, 53 seconds.
Reed, who resides in East St. Louis, captured first place in the men’s 10K in a time of 42 minutes, 2 seconds. Clark, from Greenfield, won the women’s 10K with a time of 46 minutes, 40 seconds.
Awards were also distributed to first, second and third place finishers, male and female, in 13 age categories.
Several Scott County residents were among the award recipients.
Winchester’s Jennifer Barber came in second place among women in the 10k race.
Winchester’s Brice McDannald came in fourth overall among men in the 5k race, and he finished first in his age group.
Beth Hutton of Bluffs came in ninth overall among women in the 5k race and was second in her age group.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Prairieland United Way.
