Ali Little and Sofie Grubb both scored in double figures as West Central beat Greenfield-Northwestern 38-17 in girls’ basketball Dec. 12 at Winchester.
Vickie McGee made a free throw, and Grubb scored to give West Central a 3-0 lead. Ali Little made a steal, scored and converted a free throw to increase the lead to 6-0.
Little scored again, and the Cougars led 8-0 with 4:22 remaining in the first quarter. They led 11-2 after one quarter.
Grubb and Little both scored, and West Central led 15-2. McGee made a three-point basket to extend the lead to 18-3 with 3:11 remaining in the second quarter.
The Cougars led 20-9 at halftime. They led 23-11 midway through the third quarter before scoring eight straight points.
Little scored twice, Grubb grabbed an offensive rebound and scored, and Adrienne Kaufmann scored to give West Central a 31-11 lead.
Little scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds and six steals to lead West Central. Grubb scored 10 and had four rebounds and three steals.
Braylee Littig scored five points. McGee scored four points and had four rebounds. Kaufmann scored three points and had six rebounds. Aubrey Blevins scored two points.
