Marilyn ‘Kay’ Daniel | 80 | White Hall

Marilyn “Kay” (McClenning) Daniel, 80, of White Hall, made her triumphant entry into heaven on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 in White Hall.Kay was born in Carrollton, IL, Sept.15, 1944, the daughter of Norman and Marie (King) McClenning. She married Dean (Capy) Daniel on July 9, 1976 and he survives.
Kay is also survived by her daughters Brenda (Rick) Witt of Roodhouse, Kimberly Isham-Carter of Jacksonville and Lisa (Doren) Smith of Rockford; five grandchildren; Danny (Debbie) Piper of Chatham, Sami (Jared) Dixon of Murrayville, Caleb (Heather) Smith of Rockford, Lucas (Maghen) Mathews of Murrayville, and Lexi (Matthew) Greer of Bloomington; and five great-grandchildren; Brock and Ruby Dixon, Elle Van Noy, Braydon Smith, and Whalen Mathews. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kay has two surviving siblings; Lewis (Eva) McClenning of White Hall and Lee McClenning formerly of Winchester. Preceding Kay in death were her parents, sisters Carolyn Elliott of Greenfield, Jean Schofield of Jacksonville, Alberta “Bert” McGee of White Hall, and brothers Wayne King of Jacksonville, and Harold McClenning of Iowa.
Kay owned The North End Café in 1970’s with her sister Bert, and again in the 1980’s with her husband Dean. She was a member of Gentle Shepherd Fellowship where she was a beloved Sunday School teacher for many years. Kay loved her Savior Jesus Christ, her family, her church, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 at Gentle Shepherd Fellowship Church in White Hall with burial at White Hall Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. till the time of the funeral service. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall is in charge of the arrangements.
