Mitzie Caroline Pringle | 87 | Winchester

Mitzie Caroline Wetzel Pringle, 87 of Winchester passed away Friday Jan. 31, 2025 in Winchester. She was born Sept. 4, 1937 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Edward “Duke” and Eleanor Gerber Wetzel. She married John Pringle Sept. 12, 1971 in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death in 2001. Also preceding her in death was her brother Edward Wetzel and her grandson Geoy Mefford.
Mitzie spent time in California, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas before settling in Winchester. She loved to travel, tend flowers and was a talented artist, enjoying pottery, and painting, also teaching people how to make “happy little trees” with Bob Ross.
Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl (George) Mefford of Winchester, Diane Fish of Fairbanks, Alaska; a great granddaughter, Samantha Mefford of Chatham; and two great great grandchildren, Milo and Marlee Mefford. A granddaughter in law, Jeanie (Matt) Denny and their son, Matthew; a niece and a nephew and her best friend, Glenna Mefford with whom she had shared many laughs and a few tears.
Private family graveside will be held in Bloomfield Cemetery. The Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester is in charge of the arrangements.
