Tommy B. Ruyle Jr., 90, of Jerseyville, passed away at 9:21 pm on Feb. 6, 2025, at Evercare Nursing Home in Jerseyville.Tommy B. was born on July 23, 1934, in Kemper, IL to Thomas B. Ruyle Sr. and Velma Catherine (Bennett) Ruyle.
Tommy B married Dolores (Maple) Ruyle on June 28, 1954, in Medora, IL. Dolores preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 2022.
He was an avid farmer who loved his church where he served as Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and Youth Group Leader.
They are survived by two sons: Thomas B (Susan) Ruyle III and Richard (Cindy) Ruyle; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one brother, Clifford Ruyle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers; Robert and Bill Ruyle.
Visitation was held 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church in Jerseyville with services at 11 a.m. at the church. The burial will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Medora.
Memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member for over 60 years.
