Harmon T. ‘Ted’ Little | 88 | Roodhouse

Harmon T. “Ted” Little, 88, of Roodhouse, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. He was born, April 5, 1936, in Roodhouse, the son of George T. and Eva L. Lawson Little. He married M. Joyce Berry, Dec. 30, 1973, and she survives.
Preceded him in death were his parents; siblings, James D. Little, Clarence E. Little, Mary Ann Monroe, George R. Little and Donald Little.
He is survived by children, Deborah (Jim) Rice of West Point, Alan (Maureen) Little of Woodson, Valerie (James) Malcom of Springfield and Thomas Little of Jacksonville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Leona McFeeters of Roodhouse.
Ted was also known as Thede to some. After graduating high school at North Greene, he joined the US Navy for four years and was proud to have served. He worked for AE (Automatic Eletric) and G.T.E for 30 years and retired in Dec. 1993. One of his favorite pastimes was working in the yard. He also enjoyed listening to the older country singers, watching old Westerns on tv, talking to friends or even someone he met at a store or restaurant.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Roodhouse with interment in Jones Cemetery. A visitation was held Wednesday at 12 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Jones Cemetery or Protecting Animal Welfare Society (Paws).
