Cameron SIevers struck out 10 batters over five innings to lead West Central to a 5-0 win over Triopia in baseball Mar. 28 in Winchester.
Sievers walked two batters and allowed one hit. Anthony Hance pitched the final two innings and struck out batters and allowed one hit.
The Cougars (4-1) scored four runs in the second inning.
Tucker Arnold singled to start the inning. He stole second and scored on a single by Anthony Hance. Hance scored when Hayden Stambaugh reached on an error.
Dalton Hutton singled to drive in Stambaugh. Hutton scored when Sievers grounded out.
Hutton scored again in the fourth inning after being hit by a pitch.
Arnold went 2-for-2 with a double and scored one run. Hutton went 1-for-3, scored two runs and drove in one run.
Hance went 1-for-3, scored one run and drove in one run. Landyn Woods went 1-for-3, Stambaugh scored one run, and Sievers drove in one run.
