Dolores A. Webel | 92 | Chambersburg

Dolores A. Webel, age 92, of Chambersburg, Illinois passed away at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
She was born Feb. 12, 1933 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of James and UlaVee Lynch Dempster. She married Richard N. Webel on May 6, 1952 in Harrison, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2015.
Mrs. Webel was a homemaker and always enjoyed bowling and traveling. She graduated from Griggsville High School with the class of 1951.
Survivors include two children, Rick Webel (Barbara) of Versailles, Illinois and Vicki Rawlings (Roger) of Stephenville, Texas. Six grandchildren, Joseph Webel (Emily) of Farmington, Illinois, Heather Henry (Doug) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois, Jonathan Webel (Kerensa) of Versailles, Illinois, Jessica Flynn (Jeremy) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois, Nicholas Rawlings (Elizabeth) of Granbury, Texas and Melissa McCluskey (Cody) of Stephenville, Texas. Sixteen great grandchildren also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter-in-law, Karma Webel; two sisters, Frances Meeks and Laburel Phillips; one half-brother and two half sisters.
Per her request private services will be held.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to Wilson Cemetery in Perry, Illinois and may be left at or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Illinois 62353.
