Lady Cougars hold Greenfield for six innings

Greenfield-Northwestern scored five runs in the sixth inning and beat West Central 10-7 in softball Apr. 24 at Winchester.
The Cougars (1-9) led 6-4 before Greenfield-Northwestern took the lead in the sixth.
West Central led 4-0 after scoring one run in the second inning and three in the third.
Kylie Clayton walked to lead off the second inning and eventually scored on a passed ball. Myah Little and Paisley Sturtevant both singled in the third inning and scored when Bylee Lawson homered.
Grrenfield cut the margin to 4-3 in the top of the fourth inning, but the Cougars scored two in the bottom of the fourth.
Zela Walker singled, and Little doubled to start the inning. Walker scored when Sturtevant grounded out, and Little scored when Lawson doubled.
West Central added a run in the sixth inning. Walker was hit by a pitch, and eventually scored when Maci Peterson grounded out.
Lawson went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. Scored one run and drove in four runs for the Cougars. Little went 2-for-4 with a double and scored two runs.
Sturtevant went 1-for-4, scored one run and drove in one run. Walker went 1-for-3 and scored two runs.
Clayton scored one run, and Peterson drove in one run. Hallee Lawson went 1-for-3.
