Carson Brown drove in eights, and West Central beat New Berlin 14-4 in baseball May 8 at New Berlin.
Dalton Hutton singled in the first inning and advanced to second base on a sacrifice by Cameron Sievers. Brown doubled to drive in Hutton, and the Cougars led 1-0.
New Berlin led 4-1 after scoring two runs in the first inning and two in the second.
Hutton and Sievers both walked in the third inning. Landyn Woods singled to drive in Hutton, and Caden Meyer drove in Sievers with a sacrifice fly.
West Central (18-4) took the lead by scoring four runs in the fourth inning.
Anthony Hance singled, Ben Bangert was hit by a pitch, and Sievers walked to load the bases with two outs. Brown doubled to drive in all three runners and give the Cougars a 6-4 lead. Woods singled to drive in Brown. Woods advanced to third on two wild pitches and scored on a single by Meyer
Hayden Johns, Hutton and Sievers all walked with two outs to load the bases. Brown then hit a grand slam, and West Central led by seven runs. Woods followed with a home run, and the Cougars led 12-4.
Brown tripled and scored on a single by Woods in the seventh inning.
Brown finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple and a home run. He scored three runs.
Woods went 4-for-4 with a home run, scored two runs and drove in four runs.
Hance went 2-for-4, scored one run and had a stolen base. Hutton went 1-for-3 and scored three runs. Meyer went 1-for-3 and drove in two runs.
Sievers walked three times and scored three runs. Bangert and Johns reached scored one run.
Anthony Hance pitched allowed three earned runs and six hits over four innings and picked with the win. He walked two batters and struck out three.
Woods pitched two scoreless innings. He walked three batters and struck out two. Meyer pitched a scoreless seven inning.
