District 100 School Board Members Peggy Perdun, Darcy Graham, Pamela Heitizig and Jeffrey Goetten took their oaths of office last week following their elections in April.
The Jersey Community Unit School District 100 Board of Education held a special reorganizational meeting last Thursday, May 8, to swear in members and appoint committee members.
The board began the meeting by approving previous meeting minutes and the certification of the April 1 Consolidated Election results before board members took their oaths.
Re-elected board members Peggy Perdun, Jeffrey Goetten and Pamela Heitizig were joined by newly elected member Darcy Graham to take their oaths of office to faithfully discharge their duties to the best of their ability and to serve the students of the school district.
Before swearing in the new members the board recognized retiring board member David Bryden with a round of applause. Bryden said it was an honor serving on the board and as Secretary.
Following the new members’ oaths, the board selected Peggy Perdun as President, Brad Hagen as Vice President and Pamela Heitzig as Secretary.
The board affirmed the member code of conduct and established committee appointments before moving to closed session for board training and adjournment.
