What is The Golden Thread? Is it time? Mental wellness? Nature? Spirit?
This exhibition explores the invisible, yet powerful, connections between the seeds of time, wellness, nature, and spirit. Inspired by Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and the historical use of tarot, The Golden Thread invites reflection on the healing energy of artistic creation, human sexuality, and the grounding effects of nature.
Whether through painting, gardening, or simply being present, this show celebrates the ways we reconnect with ourselves, each other, and the Earth.
The Golden Thread is presented by Mooneyham Art at 305 State Street in Alton. The opening reception will take place Saturday, Sept. 20, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with live music by Psychedelic Symphony with complimentary refreshments and free admission.
Featured Artists will include:
Jill Leslie Haack
Nature-inspired painter and instructor whose vibrant works echo Van Gogh’s reverence for beauty. Her soulful pieces feature birds, botanicals, butterflies, and water, offering hope and connection.
