ROODHOUSE – News from Barrow Baptist Church and Pastor Mancel Day. Our service times are 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, followed by 10:30 a.m. morning worship. Everyone is invited to either or both services and we are handicap accessible.
On Sunday Sept. 7, we had 17 attending Sunday school and 23 attending morning worship.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our nation in your prayers. Happy birthday wishes go out to Debbie Grable Sept. 11. There are no anniversaries to report.
Upcoming events coming up are services at White Hall Nursing and Rehab, Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m., four church revival at Barrow Baptist Church Oct. 13, 14, 15, and 16, Ladies luncheon Oct. 14 at noon in fellowship hall, Oct. 25 adult VBS and Oct. 26-Oct. 29, revival at Emmanuel Baptist church.
Our message yesterday was on love. The song “If That Isn’t Love” sung by Elvis Presley was played before the message. It actually brought goosebumps to those hearing it.
As harvest season approaches, please be cautious of the machinery on the roads. Stay safe for yourself and those operating the machinery.
