News from Barrow Baptist Church and pastor Mancel Day. Our service times are 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, followed by 10:30 a.m. morning worship. Everyone is welcome to either or both services and we are handicap accessible.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, we had 17 attending Sunday school and 24 attending morning worship.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our nation in your prayers. Happy birthday wishes go out to Judy McCurley Nov. 24 and to Larry Forrester Nov. 25. There are no anniversaries to report this week.
We had 15 ladies attend our monthly ladies luncheon. A delicious meal of Chicken Pot Pie, salad and pumpkin pie was enjoyed by all. Loretta Caskey won the door prize and Elsie Gibbs got the last bingo. Our monthly ladies luncheon in December will be Tuesday, Dec. 9, at noon in the fellowship hall.
We held services at EverVella of White Hall on Sunday at 2 p.m. A nice number of residents came out and sang songs and visited with us.
During morning worship Rich Caskey sang “Hallelujah Square.”
Hopefully the forecast is right for this week and we should receive some much needed rain.
