The Calhoun Warriors took second place in the Carlinville Holiday Tournament after falling to the Staunton Bulldogs last week. The Bulldogs hit the Warriors hard in the first quarter taking the lead 26-9. The Warriors stepped up their offense in the second quarter and put 22 points on the board to trail Staunton at the half, 45-31. The Bulldogs kept the pressure on the Warriors throughout the second half and took the win, 86-57. The Warriors started off the tournament with a 83-37 win against Hillsboro and a 60-42 win against the host school Carlinville before facing Staunton.
