The following police reports were filed between February 20 and February 26, 2026. These reports are public information and are obtained from the Jersey County Circuit Clerk’s office. All individuals have been arrested and charged, or cited in the case of traffic violations. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The following individuals were charged with a felony:
Shanna R. Lawson, dob 1-03-1978, driving revoked/suspended DUI/SSS 3rd, false report of offense, leaving the scene.
Ayden L. Leavell, dob 9-09-2004, 2 charges of resisting a peace officer, correctional employee/firefighter/injury, possession of an amount of a controlled substance except (A)/(D).
Teresa S. Reynolds, dob 6-05-1977, possession of an amount of a controlled substance except (A)/(D), theft/control less than $500/prior.
The following individual was charged with a misdemeanor:
Shawn R. Murphey, dob 10-11-1982, criminal trespass to land.
The following individual was charged with domestic violence:
Zachary B. Hess, dob 3-01-2004, domestic battery/bodily harm.
Daniel W. Scoggins, dob 8-10-1987, domestic battery/bodily harm.
The following individuals were charged with a major traffic violation:
Thaddis M. Henderson, dob 9-10-1988, driving on a suspended license.
Shanna R. Lawson, dob 1-03-1978, driving on a revoked license, leaving the scene.
The following individuals were charged with a traffic violation:
Alyssa N. Bailey, dob 7-11-2003, driving 15-20 mph above limit, operate motor vehicle/registration/suspended.
Robert E. Baker, dob 3-16-1954, driving 21-25 mph above limit.
Stephanie N. Deneef, dob 7-28-1986, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Noah J. Jennings, dob 5-14-1994, expiration of registration, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Joseph D. Jones, dob 4-24-1993, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Crystal A. Krug, dob 11-29-1979, unlicensed.
Amy J. Olney, dob 10-20-1978, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
