The Calhoun County Board of Commissioners accepted the resignation of Commissioner Hayden Sievers at their regular meeting on Monday, March 9.
Commissioner Sievers stated in his resignation letter that it has been an honor to serve the community with the board and the dedicated county staff.
“Members of the County Board, please accept this letter as my formal resignation from the position as a fellow member of the County Board, effective following our next meeting on April 6. Serving the residents of Calhoun has been an honor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside fellow board members and county staff in service to our community. I appreciate the time and effort that so many individuals dedicate to improving our county. I will do my best to assist with any transition that may be necessary. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve,” the letter stated.
The board thanked Commissioner Sievers for his time on the board and his hard work.
“Hate to see you go,” Commissioner Terry Woelfel said.
“I certainly understand,” Chairman Phil Robeen said.
