Ben Bangert had three hits as West Central beat Triopia 11-8 March 27 at Concord.
The game was tied 5-5 before the Cougars (3-2) scored six runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Anthony Hance doubled with one out and scored when Tucker Arnold singled. Thrice Kirkpatrick followed with a double and drove in Arnold.
Kirkpatrick stole third base and scored on a passed ball. Haydon Johns walked, and Bangert doubled. Both runners scored when Blaine Vortman reached on an error. Vortman advanced to third and scored on an error.
West Central scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the second and two in the third.
Bangert doubled and drove in Tucker Arnold and Thrice Kirkpatrick in the first inning. Jack Little walked and scored when Kirkpatrick walked with the bases loaded in the second inning.
Bangert singled in the third inning and stole second, third and home. Vortman walked, stole second and third base and scored when Corbin Arnold singled.
Daxton Littig pitched the fourth inning and gained the victory. He allowed four runs, including three runs and three hits. He struck out one batter.
Jack Little pitched two and one-third scoreless innings. He allowed one hit, walked two batters, and struck out one batter. Emerson Little pitched the final two thirds innings.
Tucker Arnold pitched the first three innings and allowed one earned run. He gave up a hit and walked six batters and struck out three.
Bangert went 3-for-4 with a double, scored two runs and drove in two runs. Hance went 3-for-3 with a double and scored one run.
Kirkpatrick went 2-for-3 with a double, scored two runs and drove in two runs. Tucker Arnold went 1-for-3, scored two runs and drove in one run. Johns went 1-for-4 with a double and scored one run.
Vortman went 1-for-4 and scored two runs. Corbin Arnold went 1-for-3 and drove in one run. Jack Little scored one run.
