The Village of Kampsville is making the most of the summer and inviting the community to join in on the fun at the annual Kampsville Summer Celebration on Saturday, July 18.
The day will include several activities, including a cookie stacking contest, watermelon eating contest, hula hoop contest, baby and toddler pageants and a fireworks display at dusk to wrap up the evening.
Things will kick off with a parade at 5 p.m. (parade participants will line up at 4 p.m.), followed by the pageants and games before the 8 p.m. raffle drawing and fireworks.
Car enthusiasts will also get a chance to check out some vehicles at the car show, with dash plaques for the first 50 vehicles. Cars can be registered for $10.
The Kampsville American Legion will be cooking up some food at the Village Food Tent, with all the proceeds going to support next year’s fireworks.
