Terry John Amsden | 61 | Independence, KY

Terry John Amsden, 61, of Independence, KY, and a former longtime resident of White Hall, IL, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at his home after a short but difficult battle with ALS. He was born June 26, 1963.
Terry is survived by his six daughters, Tina (Adam) Newingham of Pawnee, IL, Heather (Tyler) Coumbes of Jacksonville, IL, Holly Poindexter of Ohio, Jennifer (Peter) Coley of Chatham, IL, Christine Amsden of Mississippi, and Cassandra Amsden of Griggville, IL; and dozens of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Margaret Amsden.
Terry used to enjoy playing soft ball and his children enjoyed watching him play. He was a loyal fan to the St Louis Cardinals baseball and St Louis Blues hockey teams and loved Imos pizza. Terry always made sure his weekends with his daughters were fun for them and created special childhood memories that will always be cherished. He was a hard worker his whole life, loyal to the same company for many years as a manager. He was a private and busy person as he got older, but he had friends and family that thought of him often and will miss him dearly.
