The following police reports were filed between December 22 and December 28. These reports are public information and are obtained from the Jersey County Circuit Clerk’s office. All individuals have been arrested and charged, or cited in the case of traffic violations. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The following individuals were charged with a felony:
Austyn D. Chmieleski, dob 8-04-2005, aggravated battery of a child under the age of 13/bodily harm.
Matthew A. Friedel, dob 6-10-1986, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of meth between 5-15 grams, felony possession/use weapon/firearm.
Terry L. Jackson, dob 4-23-1957, aggravated battery/great bodily harm.
Michael Mushat, dob 4-12-1962, driving while revoked/suspended DUI/SSS 4-9.
Marc A. Wock, dob 1-21-1984, possession of meth less than five grams, resisting a peace officer, firefighter or correctional institution employee.
The following individual was charged with a misdemeanor:
Robert Cox, dob n/a, retail theft/display merchandise less than $300.
The following individual was charged with a DUI:
Tyson L. Oertel, dob 11-21-2000, driving under the influence of alcohol, improper traffic lane usage.
The following individuals were charged with a major traffic violation:
Joseph C. Dollins, dob 2-13-1975, driving on suspended license.
Nathan D. Scott, dob 8-18-1997, failure to notify damage/unattended vehicle, failure to reduce speed.
The following individuals were charged with a traffic violation:
Stephanie N. Deneef, dob 7-28-1986, unauthorized use of a parking placard/holder not present.
Dennis S. Howard, dob 11-05-1972, driving 21-25 mph above limit.
