The following police reports were filed between May 3 and May 9. These reports are public information and are obtained from the Jersey County Circuit Clerk’s office. All individuals have been arrested and charged, or cited in the case of traffic violations. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The following individuals were charged with a felony:
Donald W. Blasa, dob 11-01-1959, possession of meth less than five grams, driving on revoked license.
Marvell W. Whitby, dob 7-03-1987, possession of a stolen firearm, failure to reduce speed, improper traffic lane usage.
The following individuals were charged with a misdemeanor:
Caiden D. Angel, dob 7-11-2006, consumption of liquor/minor.
Maxwell J.S. Scoggins, dob 7-28-2004, disorderly conduct.
The following individual was charged with conservation violation:
Mark J. Potthast, dob 11-23-1975, take wild turkey without permit.
The following individuals were charged with an ordinance violation:
Gopi Y. Jaganinatha, dob 11-17-1993, negligent driving.
Joshua T. Reese, dob 1-06-2006, criminal trespass to land.
The following individuals were charged with a major traffic violation:
John T. Bell, dob 2-05-1989, operate vehicle registration suspended/2nd, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Isaiah Samuel Parker, dob 9-10-2001, canceled/revoked/suspended registration non/IL, driving 15-20 mph above limit.
Stacie N. Polach, dob 2-17-1998, driving on a suspended license, improper use registration/title, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
The following individuals were charged with a traffic violation:
Justin A. Childress, dob 3-12-1981, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Carter M. Dixon, dob 3-20-2000, operate uninsured motor vehicle, driving 15-20 mph above limit, no valid registration/1st and 2nd.
Natalie L. Dooley, dob 7-15-2004, operate moped on one wheel, operate motor vehicle/registration/suspended.
Shawn C. McDonald, dob 12-13-1990, disregard official traffic-control device.
Sicily A. Mowder, dob 4-25-2007, improper turn at intersection.
Jackie K. Schofield, dob 1-05-1963, operate uninsured motor vehicle, improper left turn/on-coming traffic.
Christopher L. Schroeder, dob 3-26-1999, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Lauren Elizabeth Vancil, dob 8-18-2001, no valid registration/1st and 2nd.
Jerson E. Vicente Lopez, dob 5-29-1999, operate uninsured motor vehicle, unlicensed.
Melissa R. Walden, dob 10-02-1972, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Marvell Wesley Whitby, dob 7-03-1987, failure to reduce speed, improper traffic lane usage.
Brody P. Winters, dob 8-27-2006, operate uninsured motor vehicle, unlicensed.
