The following police reports were filed between July 1 through July 31. These reports are public information and are obtained from the Calhoun County Circuit Clerk’s office. All individuals have been arrested and charged, or cited in the case of traffic violations. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The following individuals were charged with a felony:
Brian J. Novosel, dob 1-02-1988, two charges of attempting to foil or defeat a drug screening test.
Haley Zirkelbach, dob 4-02-1994, criminal trespass to residence/person present, criminal trespass to residence, two charges of criminal damage to property less than $500, disorderly conduct.
The following individual was charged with a misdemeanor:
Michael J. Taviner, dob 10-01-1958, battery/makes physical contact.
The following individual was charged with a conservation violation:
Robert M. Kerr Jr., operating watercraft/no personal floatation device with children under the age of 13 on board watercraft.
The following individual was charged with a DUI:
Todd E. Romann, dob 9-22-1961, driving under the influence of alcohol, improper traffic lane usage, failure to reduce speed.
The following individuals were charged with a major traffic violation:
Brent J. Surdyke, dob 10-19-1984, driving on suspended license, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Keith F. Bergman, dob 1-01-1963, driving on revoked license.
David M. Poe, dob 8-17-1967, driving on a suspended license, canceled/revoked/suspended registration/IL, driving 1-10 mph above limit.
The following individuals were charged with an ordinance violation:
Dylan A. Kamp, dob 3-09-1994, speeding.
Julie A. Wendle, dob 3-29-1974, speeding.
Barry J. Bushong, dob 9-26-1960, speeding.
The following individuals were charged with a traffic violation:
Mackenzie D. Merryman, dob 8-27-1990, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Beth Ann Adney, dob 2-03-1970, driving 21-25 mph above limit.
Barbara J. Romain, dob 11-26-1965, driving 21-25 mph above limit.
Justin L. Sagez, dob 2-21-1977, improper traffic lane usage.
Randy D. Newingham, dob 3-01-1971, no valid registration/1st and 2nd.
Ashley M. Smith, dob 10-26-1987, failure to reduce speed.
Kevin C. Miller, dob n/a, driving 15-20 mph above limit.
Amy K. Mueller, dob 5-05-1976, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Martha J. Branham, dob 2-25-1969, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Wyatt G. Short, dob 3-05-2004, transport/carry alcohol liquor/driver.
Trevor J. Cox, dob 8-07-2004, transport/carry alcohol liquor/driver.
Kurtis K. Moran, dob 6-21-1973, improper traffic lane usage.
