Rev. Charles and Doris Barnes of Carrollton celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this week. The couple wed on Oct. 31, 1952, in Holcomb, Mo. Charles is the minister for Southern Baptist Celebration. A celebration was held in October, with their six children and their families.

Holly Schnettgoecke and Ryan Beckman of Winchester welcomed a baby boy, Tucker Ryan Beckman, on Sept. 28, 2022. Tucker was born at 1:10 a.m at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. at his birth. Tucker’s grandparents are Bob and Cheri Schnettgoecke of Carrollton and his great-grandparent is Rosemary Schnettgoecke of Carrollton.
