The North Greene Special Olympics Unified Basketball team found themselves taking on the North Greene teaching staff Sunday evening at the high school and gave the crowd a game to remember with the final score being the Unified Team 72 and the teaching staff 58.
The high scorer for the Unified team was once again their center, Hunter Williams with a whopping 24 points. Veteran players Darin Hull followed with 11 points and Devin Dean chipped in nine more combining for 44 of the team’s 72 points.
Rounding out the scoring for the Unified team were: Shawna Alexander and Keegan Houseman with six each; Haley Gray and Nicholas Vincent with four each and Kailyn Hoesman and Garrett Newingham with two each.
For the teaching staff, the top two scorers were McKea Jones with 15 and Melissa Bishop with 14. Kara Snyder contributed eight points while Ryan Leonard and Jeremy Sharrow each had six. Amanda Peebles added four and rounding out the scoring was Marta Hall with two. Joe Kindred and Logan Staats did not score in the game.
