Pleasant Hill man receives injuries in truck vs motorcycle accident

Bruce M. Huffman, 63, Pleasant Hill, received non-life threatening injuries Saturday, June 4, at approximately 11:57 a.m.
According to Illinois State Police reports, Huffman was traveling southbound on U.S. 54, about halfway between the top of the Atlas Hill and Hopewell Winery when he crossed over into the northbound lane and sideswiped a 2000 gray Dodge Pickup. ISP is not identifying the driver of that truck saying they “do not release personally identifiable information of victims of Illinois Vehicle Code.”Both drivers were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Huffman was ticketed for driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage.
