The West Central Cougar Boys Basketball Camp was held last week, June 14-17 at the Winchester Elementary School gym for boys in grades 2-8.
The boys worked on fundamentals of the game such as shooting, passing, dribbling, pivoting and defense. Players competed in hot shot, lay ups, speed dribble, free throws and skills challenge the last two days.
First and second place winners for each grade were presented with medals on Friday.
Varsity boys basketball coach Ryan Sichting was the Camp Director assisted by Brady Slagle and Bill Jacquot. Also assisting in the camp were former and current players, including: Gabe Cox, Cole Howard, Tysyn Mast, Tyson Brown, Jayden Howard, Mason Berry, Chance Little, Derek Price, Conner Turner, Carson Brown, Zac Howard, Ronald Bentley and Charlie Smith.
