The Carrollton Lady Hawks had to overcome a first game defeat to come from behind and defeat the Greenfield/Northwestern Lady Tigers on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the annual Pink Game at home in honor of those who are suffering from or have overcome breast cancer.
The Tigers came out of the chute ready to pounce pulling out a 25-18 victory in the first game and it looked like it would be a two-game sweep, but the pesky Lady Hawks kept pecking away until they tied the match at one game apiece with a 25-22 win over the Lady Tigers.
The friendly rivalry between Carrollton and Greenfield was evident both on the court and in the stands in the third game. In the end, Carrollton pulled out the win with a 25-20 win.
The win improved Carrollton to 21-9 overall and 6-3 in the conference. Greenfield stands at 16-18 overall and also has a 6-3 record in the conference.
