Sunny, windy, cool drive to church this Sunday morning, but blessed to be called to serve God. God continues to bless our church family and we thank our heavenly Father for his blessings. We are looking forward to the “Santa on the Square Mission” Nov. 25. We have gathered children’s hats, gloves, scarves, and sock donations to give to those who need such items. We look forward to this event. Our non-perishable food donations for the North Greene Food Pantry will be delivered in time for the holidays. Thanks to all who helped make these events a success.
I want to thank my church family for their birthday blessings, you all are special. Dec. 4, our church will welcome the Southern Gospel Trio, “Riven” from the St. Louis, Mo. area as they present the Story of Christmas in song during our morning worship service. There is no admission charge, but there will be a freewill offering received and a luncheon will follow the concert. Our message this morning was from Matthew 6:19-21– lay up treasures in heaven.
Scriptures tell us what not to lay up and what treasures to lay up. I invite you to read these verses and see what treasures you are laying up. Wednesday morning Bible study at 9:30 a.m. is open to anyone who would like to attend. Our recent prayer requests are Ava and Dan, Randy and Diane, Heather and Cheryl, Denny Vetter, an unspoken, prayers for our country, our leaders, our military, and for all our first responders. Thank you for your service.
We invite you to join us each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. for our worship service and Wednesday morning study at 9:30 a.m. God bless.
