Shirley Ann Myers | 87 | White Hall

Shirley Ann Myers, 87, of White Hall, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 5, 2022 at her home. She was born Sept. 20, 1935 in Jacksonville the daughter of Anderson Armstrong and R. Lucille Garner Shaw. She married Talley Myers on May 18, 1955 in Roodhouse and he survives.She is also survived by her daughters, Lu Ann (David) Mansfield and Carrie (Garry) Sheppard both of White Hall; six grandchildren, Lyn Ann (Spencer) Young, Lucy Jo (Kirk) Evanson, Laura Talley (Drew) Bell, Anderson Sheppard, Adam (April) Sheppard and Ashley Susan McCoy; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and one brother, Robert H. Shaw.
Mrs. Myers worked alongside her husband on the family farm for many years and retired from the Illinois Department of Public Aid. She was a member Christ United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Literary League. She enjoyed farm life and spending time with her family.
A graveside service was held at Jones Cemetery east of White Hall. Memorials are suggested to White Hall Township Library or White Hall First Responders. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall was in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
